Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Tour

Posted Monday, October 24th, 2005 at 11:35 am

Thanks to our teacher, my Airport Operations class got to go on a tour of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. I took a bunch of PICTURES that I’ve put on a separate page.

While on the tour, we got to see the air cargo terminals, where there was a 747 getting some maintenance done. I was so excited, I got a few pictures of me sitting at the controls:mrgreen:. The fire department gave us a demonstration of the Jaguar, the big firetruck on the field. They were nice enought to give us rides in it. There is a movie of it on the picture page. Then we went on radar hill where we got to see the best view of the airport. From there you can see the south runways and the construction on the 5th runway. We also went into the control tower for Concourse E. I think it was Concourse E, but I wasn’t paying attention at this point because, I was too busy watching the airplanes.

Anyway, that was the tour. Did I miss anything? I hope you enjoy the PICTURES .
