NDB hold at KGVL

Posted Monday, October 24th, 2005 at 11:59 am

Went flying yeseterday to work on NDB holds and approaches. Before take off, the KPDK was very busy. There had to be 4 in line for landing on the parallel runways. There were 3 planes holding behind me waiting to take off, and one in front of me holding for 20R. There had to be 5 jets waiting to take off on 20L. It was crazy, but after waiting 30 minutes, we finally took off.

We headed up to Gainsville and I worked on the NDB and did a missed approach there, and that went very well. Took a few pics and took a movie of our landing. Flight lasted 1.7 hours.

wow, I guess I’m spoiled! I have seldom had to wait at RYY. Nice Pics, and I liked the movie (but wanted to see the flare).
