It’s my transceiver. If I lost the comms in the airplane, I would be able to use this as a replacement radio.

I don’t have much too much to say for today except, I did VOR DME holds and an ILS hold and shot the ILS back into 20L at PDK. Here are some pics I took today. Most are clouds and the wing of the plane and one of me and my instructor, David.
I did the Stage 1 Instrument check today, and did well. Passed the written portion with a 94% on the second try, (66% on the first try, pays to study ) I took a few pics from that day of me flying the Warrior, but one of those pics won’t upload for some strange reason. Brian was my stage check examiner. We went to the North practice area and I showed off my basic instrument skills, using the VOR at PDK and the NDB at Canton. I have been flying in N750CF because out of the 3 Warriors at the flight school, it’s my favorite one to fly.
As you can guess, I am still flying the Warrior. Not much new, just preparing for my stage one instrument written and check.
I really enjoy flying the Warrior and probably going to stick with it for my instrument training. I am gonna have to take a pic of me in one for the blog. Untill then, keep looking at this pic.
It was a beautiful day today as well, but I wouldn’t know it since I am under the hood, doing instrument training. Today, I tracked the VOR from PDK, steep turns for the first time in the Warrior (YAY), and intercepting VOR radials.
Went to Sim Train in Kennesaw, today. I got to try out the full motion Cirrus simulator. It’s glass cockpitty goodness. I got to do a simulated ILS approach to 2L at PDK.

My old CFI was there, had a chat with him about where my training is going He tells me it would make more sense if Ii hold off on the multi training till after I do CFII, which would save me a lot of money in the long run. I guess I would be following a trend of other students who want to fly the multi right now. I can wait till I’m making a little more money before spending money on the multi.
Here is a pic of it.
I Flew it yesterday, though. The instructor who went with me thought I wanted to get checked in it, but I just wanted to joyride. All I did was fly it out about ten miles then came back to PDK. I was going to try to land it, but it was way too windy for me. The instructor ended up landing it for me and we taxied back to the ramp. I had fun, but it wasn’t the best day to try a different plane I’ve never flown before. Next time I fly it, I’ll make sure I get an instrument lesson in it, and not just waste my money.
Until next time.
Not much going on today. Just sitting here, dispatching aeroplanes.
I didn’t sleep well last night, so I am exausted. I had a bad dream that a friend of mine some how fell off a tall cliff and we couldn’t find him anywhere. The cliff had to be about a mile down. I woke up a couple times last night, only to fall back to sleep and dream the same thing all over again. SIGH. I’ll just sip on my coke to stay awake.
Tomorrow afternoon is gonna be fun. Rudy, and his sister Sandra, are going to BBQ a whole pig for Labor Day. YUMMIE!
Next Tuesday, I start flying with a new instructor. This will be the 7th instructor I’ve flown with in 4 years. My last instructor got a real job and is moving on. I’m kinda sad becase he was the best instructor ever. (Sorry Joe!) I’ll keep y’all posted about my new instructor.
As far as my flight training is going, still just getting used to flying simulated or actual IMC. I started partial panel and timed turns last lesson, it was most excellent!
I gotta go, L8RZ
It was AWESOME!!! We did a normal take off, and about 20 seconds after take off, I had to put the hood on, and kept it on till I was about 1000 feet AGL on short final. First lesson is pretty much an intro to BAI. I already have around 3 hours anyway, 2 were actual. I have to wear my foggles for training, so I wont get to see the sky for a while.
ttyl thats all there is to say
